Important knowledge about Canada is often scattered across difficult databases, technical tables, paywalled research, and specialist language.

Our World in Data is the project’s main inspiration for its public-interest mission and its clear explanations and visualizations. Canada in Data applies that approach to Canadian research and public data while keeping every result connected to its original source.

Canada in Data helps people and AI agents become more data-informed by making trustworthy evidence about Canada easier to find, understand, verify, and use—including the information people need to verify charities before giving.

Canadian public sources come first. When they do not cover a defined question about Canada, the project may use Canada-specific data from the World Health Organization, the United Nations, or the World Bank under the same standards for traceability, methodology, and review.

Security is a core project requirement and a release gate. A change is not ready for production until its security controls, dependency checks, and failure behaviour have been reviewed and verified.
